xtravel named Travel Broker Business of the Year at National Travel Industry Awards

Queenstown-based travel agency xtravel has been recognised on the national stage, taking home The Travel Broker Business of the Year at this weekend’s National Travel Industry Awards 2026.

The team was named as a finalist across three major business categories: Travel Broker Business of The YearCommunity Connection of the Year, and Local Marketing Campaign of the Year, with co-owner Tori Keating also nominated for Customer Advocacy of The Year.

Alongside xtravel’s team win, Keating received a Highly Commended award for Customer Advocacy, acknowledging her commitment to standing beside clients, supporting the wider travel trade, and championing the value of professional travel advice.

The awards were held at Auckland’s New Zealand International Convention Centre, bringing together travel professionals from across the country to celebrate excellence, resilience, and achievement within the industry.

“To be recognised among such an outstanding group of travel businesses and professionals is incredibly humbling,” says Keating. “This award belongs to our whole team, who show up every day with care, expertise, humour, and absolute dedication to our clients.”

The recognition follows a strong period of growth and community impact for xtravel, which has continued to build its reputation as a purpose-led, locally owned agency. Founded nearly ten years ago by co-owners Tori Keating and Niki Davies, xtravel has grown from a team of three to 15, while remaining firmly grounded in its values of personalised service, local connection, and genuine care.

The business has become known not only for its bespoke travel planning, but also for its strong community partnerships, local support, and advocacy for the role of professional travel advisors.

“In an industry that continues to face global disruption and change, awards like these matter,” says Keating. “They give us a chance to celebrate the people behind the bookings — the problem-solvers, advocates, advisors, and industry partners who keep travel moving.”

xtravel extends its sincere thanks to TAANZ, the event organisers, sponsors, suppliers, clients, and the wider travel industry whānau for their ongoing support.
